We had a little black Golfie called “The Bat” (it looked like the Bat Mobile). A few boys were admiring The Bat very closely. I stood behind them a said “SHIELDS!” (and secretly pressed the locking system). The space-age door locks engaged with loud thuds that gave the lads a groot skrik. Street cred achieved.

One of the defining characteristics of our God is that He is an impenetrable surrounding shield if we trust in Him. “The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold” Psalm 18:2 (https://bit.ly/2YYfnkQ).
