This is a post for people who are scared and angry about all the violence and injustice they see in the world – and who are wondering where God is and what God is going to do about it .

And this is a prayer from Habakkuk, who also wondered about those things:

‘God, I’ve heard what our ancestors say about you, and I’m stopped in my tracks, down on my knees. Do among us what you did among them. Work among us as you worked among them. And as you bring judgment, as you surely must, remember mercy’ (Habakkuk 3v1- The Message)

That’s a big, bold, beautiful prayer. Could it be yours this weekend?
