Hello WordSpacers, we have some sad news. On Sunday Rob Lloyd lost along struggle with cancer and died peacefully. Rob was a core part of the WordSpace team – a wise man and great encourager who loved God and young people.
For today’s post here’s one that Rob wrote a while back. It came right out of the way he lived.
What does it cost to be kind?
To offer a smile to a stranger? To look that homeless person in the eye? To say “hello”, or “thank you”? To ask a person’s name, or find out how they are doing (and genuinely care)
There are so many opportunities to be kind that cost us nothing.
Sure, if we were to give away something of value that might cost us more. Or if we were to offer our time to help someone in need, that might cost us too.
God help me to be willing to give even when it hurts. And help me to see the many opportunities to show kindness that cost me nothing.
