Do you like surprises? I don’t. I like to know what’s coming so I can prepare for it. I like to be in control. Sometimes giving God control means letting God surprise us.

In Matthew 13:31-33, Jesus teaches that the smallest seed can grow into the biggest tree, and a tiny amount of yeast can transform a whole batch of dough. Surprising, isn’t it? Often God works in ways we least expect, and letting God surprise us is one way we can trust God. How can you begin to expect the unexpected in your life?
