Have you ever thought what it might be like to meet God? Would there be fire and lightning and a big deep voice?
John tells us that he and the other disciples saw God, not in some vision but in the flesh. John doesn’t have a Christmas story, but in chapter 1:1-14 (http://bit.ly/2Qnx5Z1) of his gospel, he tells us about a God who became a human being and lived with us. If you lived about 2000 years ago in Galilee, you could have met God face to face and “seen his glory”.
The question you’ve got to ask yourself this Christmas is: Do I believe that God became a man? Why did he do that?
