I used to think being wise meant having all the answers to everyone’s questions. Not true. I’ll never have all the answers; neither will you. James writes, ‘You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak’ (James 1:19 – https://bit.ly/3i0aehd) There’s way more wisdom in that.
Sometimes when someone talks to me about a problem, I make it about me by relating their story to something I’ve experienced, as if I understand exactly how they feel and can solve all the things! Today, if someone comes to us with issues, maybe it’s wiser for us to just allow them to feel what they feel, and love them by listening.
