What does being ‘perfect’ look like for you?

Is it being the model student, playing it safe, not pushing any boundaries or something more out on the ragged edge – testing, questioning, exploring, messing up and having to fix stuff?

Jesus tells us we need to ‘be perfect, just like your heavenly Father is perfect.’ (Matthew 5v48)

Is that: a) scary b) exciting c) impossible and a bit depressing?

Here’s a clue: chasing perfection is not so much about trying to be a people-pleasing model something, but about becoming someone who doesn’t miss out on anything God wants you to be and enjoy.

What would chasing that kind of perfection look like in the choices you’ll be making this week?
