Reputation is a pretty powerful thing. It’s like a voice that speaks and represents us when we’re not there. We may leave a place or a group of people behind, but our reputation remains.

We can’t always control it, and other people can try to damage it, even unfairly so. But mostly we get to shape it, by our actions, how we treat others and ourselves.

The reputation of the church in Eph 1:15-16 was that they had a strong faith and a strong love for others. Paul’s reaction when praying for them was to be thankful for what God was doing among and through them.

How about you? What are you known for? What choices can you make today that will help shape a great reputation?
