I remember making a kid at my school cry once. I was trying to be tough and cool and for some reason that meant making him feel weak and small. I wish I could go back and undo that.

In Micah 6v8 God calls us to love mercy. The original word for mercy (Hesed) is deep: think kindness, unconditional love, comforting those who are miserable, having compassion for the weak.

Hesed is how God feels towards us. I’m so glad that’s true. I needed that back in school as much as I wish I had showed it to that kid. I still need it.

Imagine everyone in your school loved that kind of mercy?

What about beginning that with you this week?
