What makes faith hard #1 (part 3): trying to believe in or have a relationship with a God I can’t see:

Faith is not some opt-out, loser option for people who need to believe in something they know is probably not true.

Faith ‘is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It’s our handle on what we can’t see’ (Hebrews 11v2 http://bit.ly/1pKEpbX)

Faith, like a germinating bean sprout, is fragile. Faith grows strong when we share stories of what God is up to in our world. Faith grows when we trust God and do what he calls us to (even if it seems crazy).

Faith shrivels up when we fix our eyes only on what we can see, or decide to trust only what we can ‘prove’.

What’s the foundation you’re standing on?
