If you want to sound extra smart one of the best ways is to throw in some old school Latin. The Latin phrase “docendo discimus” means “by teaching, we learn”. This is the concept behind the scripture that says:
‘Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.’ (Deuteronomy 11v18-19).
Here’s a challenge – take something you’re learning about God and tell it to someone else. They may accept your idea, they may not. In the process, you may just find yourself closer to knowing God than if you had kept what you know to yourself.
