Jesus is Lord of my priorities.
I used to set my alarm for 06h33 in the morning – sometimes I still do. You know why? The answer may seem odd, but it helped me in my relationship with God. In Matthew 6v33 (hence setting that the time) we are called to ‘seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well.’ What a challenge! We MUST put God first. God will look after the rest. This week we have looked at what ‘Jesus is Lord’ means. think of that often and let that guide your lifestyle in a better way for His kingdom and purposes.

‘Jesus is Lord’ of my actions.
‘You believe there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that – and shudder.’ James 2v19 Hectic! That verse CHALLENGES me big time. It’s one thing to say: ‘I believe in God’ but is that really enough? James 2v17 says ‘faith by itself, if not accompanied by action is DEAD.’ The ‘action’ in our life needs to match the belief that Jesus is Saviour AND Jesus is Lord: that includes the way we play sport, study, care for the outcasts at school and society, look after the environment etc. In our actions we should give hope and love to ALL around us. That’s faith with action! #JesusisLord

‘Jesus is LORD’ of my heart Jesus sums up his will for our lives in Mark 12v30: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and strength.’ That’s a BIG love God desires from us. How do we begin to do that? In every situation in our lives we should ask: ‘how can Jesus be Lord here?’ When someone or something is ‘Lord’ in your life, it means you allow them or it to rule over your life. Will you let our Saviour King rule over your life? In saying yes, you step into a FULL life! Do it! #JesusisLord

‘Jesus is Saviour’ how often have you heard that before? There is a sweet verse reminding us of that in Ephesians 2v8 ‘For it is by grace you have been saved, through faithit is a gift from God.’ And that’s amazing news! Yes, there is nothing we can do to earn the love and grace of God. Stoked! However, maybe we as Christ followers have forgotten Jesus’ other role: ‘Jesus is Lord.’ Seeing that title, what is ur immediate response? Over the next four days we’ll explore what it means for Jesus to be LORD in our lives too #JesusisLord
