‘I’ve never prayed for 30 minutes but I’ve never gone 30 minutes without prayer.’ This is a quote I heard a while ago and have never forgotten.

God wants to have a constant relationship with us – not just on Sundays, or only in our ‘quiet time’. That’s why Paul urges us to ‘pray continually’ (1 Thessalonians 5v17).

That can be when we pray for hours – like Jesus did many times, getting away from everyone else just to spend time alone with God. It can be through short prayers too. The longing of our hearts pointed to God, a silent ‘help me!’ or ‘thank-you’ or ‘God, do something!!’ How could you be praying continually today?
