So who knows what it feels like to be the last person chosen for something? Sucks huh?
Not with God. Here’s what Jesus says to you:
‘You didn’t choose me. I chose you’ John 15v16.

Jesus made the first choice, to love and die for us, to invite us to live with him forever. We make the next choice – to accept or reject his offer. He doesn’t leave us the last one sitting on the bench; he calls your name first. What would it mean to choose for Jesus today?

Half full or half empty? Which one describes you best? Some people are natural encouragers and see the good in everything. Others of us really have to work hard at it! Hebrews 10v24 says: ‘Let’s think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.’ Whether encouragement comes naturally to us or not, the Bible is clear that we should be cheering each other on in our walk with Christ!Today, see your life as half full and encourage a friend with a text, a coffee or even just a smile. If you compared yourself to a tree, what would it be? I would compare myself to a solid Oak or a giant Redwood.

Why? Colossians 2v7 says: ‘Let your roots grow down into him and draw up nourishment from him, and you will grow in faith, strong and vigorous in the truth you were taught’.

Just like trees, if we submerge our hearts in the Word of God, we will be strengthened and become less shakeable in our faith. When we are rooted in Him we have the opportunity of living in a radical way. What can you do to sink your roots deeper into God today?

YOLO – You only live once! This phrase has been making waves worldwide for a while now… Young people everywhere are making this an anthem for their lives. They are using these words to live out their desires, even if some are really worldly – or just plain dumb. YOLO is a great anthem, as long as you have God on board. You do only have one life – so make it count for something. When we are faithful and obedient with our lives we know ‘He will give us the desires of our hearts and make all our plans succeed’ Psalm 20v4. Are you choosing God first in your relationships, your studies, and your life? Read Psalm 20 here: http://bit.ly/12VxscQ#MyIdentityinChrist #thereseh
