It wasn’t enough for Ant Man to put on the suit. He had to train extremely hard, listen to his instructors, endure pain and learn to fight effectively. It’s hard work but he perseveres and saves the day. Go Ant Man!

Cool gear or fearsome weapons don’t make you a warrior. As Christians we need to constantly be in training, learning to use God’s Word and growing more like Christ in our thoughts and actions. Thank goodness we have the best instructor ever. “He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You give me your shield of victory” – Psalm 18: 34-35 (

Thor is formidable in battle as he skilfully wields his mighty hammer. One day his oldest sister Hela totally smashes his favourite (and only) hammer to pieces and completely disarms Thor.
Talk about sibling rivalry!

A warrior needs proper weaponry and protective gear before they enter the battle. As Christ’s warriors, our fight is against “the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” (Ephesians 6:12 – Our weapons are the Sword of the Spirit (the Bible) and prayer. These weapons “have divine power to demolish strongholds” (2 Corinthians 10:4 –

Ensure that you are spiritually protected and armed (praying and holding tightly onto God’s Word) so that you can take ground for God’s kingdom.

Natasha Romanoff has been captured by baddies who mock her: “The famous Black Widow – she turns out to be simply another pretty face”. They seriously underestimate her and she seriously schools them all.

Gideon was the least likely candidate for Warrior Leader. “My clan’s the weakestand I’m the runt of the litter” (Judges 6:15 – The angel of the Lord however says, “GOD is with you, O mighty warrior!” (Judges 6:12 –

You may feel like the weakest, most pathetic Christian but God sees you as a mighty warrior. Gideon went on to do amazing things with God. Don’t underestimate what God can do in and through you, Mighty Warrior.

Insane Faith Stuff

Genesis 22:11-13 (

This part of chapter 22 is where things get really “crazy”!
Abraham is just about to kill his only son on the altar, before he hears a voice telling him to stop what he is about to do.
And then he saw a ram not far from them and offered it instead.

Exercising your faith will sometimes push you to the limit – but that is how we grow in our faith – by being obedient. We see with Abraham, God tested his obedience until the point of insanity and then God provided a replacement for Isaac at the perfect time just like He promised.
