Looking Up To God

Ever run out of airtime? Or lost internet connectivity? Had your favourite website crash, or your most useful app fail? What then?

A viral video ‘LOOKUP’ offers great advice… unplug from your phone/device and lookup and engage with those around you… (watch it here: )

The Creator says: ‘Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.’

Why don’t you unplug and LOOKUP to HIM today?

‘Feeling’ God?

How do you ‘feel’ God’s presence? I was running one day on the mountain in the middle of a storm. I stopped to rest and watch the driving rain. Suddenly, I had an unmistakable feeling of the closeness of the Creator. I didn’t say or hear anything, but I could feel God next to me, around me, with me.

Jesus often left the noise and distraction to spend time with his Father – even when things were crazy busy. (Mark 1v35)

Can you find a quiet space this week where the only one who has your attention is God? It really doesn’t matter as long as you’re alone with Him.

Mark 1 here:

‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.’

How awesome is that!? Have you ever thought about what you are going through and then asked, is this bigger than God? Sometimes things are so hard that it seems like God is not there, like he’s abandoned us. But the promise he has made is that he will always be there with you, in the troubles and in the joys!

Could you lean on this promise for where you are now?

Check out Hebrews 13v5-8:

Did you ever want something so badly that you took a massive risk to get it? Have you ever spent hours preparing for a single moment?

The story about Zacchaeus in the Bible is crazy. Zacchaeus wanted to see Jesus so badly that he climbed a tree. I’ll just let that sink in: a grown man climbing a tree.

How important is it to you to get into Jesus’ presence, to do whatever is necessary to meet with Him, learn from Him? What would you be prepared to let go of today to gain a closer walk with God? Has dignity and your reputation gotten in the way of pursuing your relationship with Jesus?
