Your Opinion.

Do you spend whole conversations focused on pushing your opinion onto others? This suggests that your opinion matters more than anybody else’s and comes from pride.
Proverbs 18:12-13 (

Instead follow Christ’s example (Philippians 2:5-7, in love and humility take time to listen to others. When we really listen, we show people that we value and love them.

When could you make time to listen to somebody with a different perspective?
How can you ensure you keep quiet and really value what someone says?

Lord, humble me from thinking I am always right, so that I can learn from others.


It’s better to be wise!

No one wants to be stupid, right? We all know it’s better to be wise – better to understand what life’s about.

James says, ‘If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom’ (James 3:13: That means, we can choose wisdom and understanding by doing life God’s way – walking His straight paths instead of our own (which we tend to carve out crooked because we’re naturally selfish and proud, not generous and humble).

How kind is God, to show us how to really live it up!
