Peace. We all want it. Peace between races, and people, and nations. It’s been sought after for generations. Yet generation after generation, we see that wars and conflicts persist. We go through inner turmoil, and peace almost seems like an unreachable dream.

But Jesus says something strange in the gospels, He promises the disciples peace in the middle of a time of conflict in Israel. Jesus speaks of a different kind of peace; He is talking about a peace that comes from knowing that God is in control. Peace that doesn’t come from the world, but directly from Him.

God views you as a peacemaker?

Did you know God views you as a peacemaker?

In fact, in Matthew 5:23-24 ( God goes so far as to tell you to interrupt worship to first make right with someone who holds an offence against you.

‘If you are offering your gift at the alter and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the alter, first go and be reconciled to your brother, then come and offer your gift.’

Jesus also said, ‘Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the children of God.’

How do you do at keeping the peace?

As Jesus was in the tomb it all seemed lost. People didn’t realize that the story wasn’t over.
Sometimes we won’t see, comprehend or understand what God is doing. We can be so overwhelmed by the situation we’re in and forget that God is still in control and that He hasn’t stepped away, even though it may seem like it.

Be encouraged that even in the silence and the stillness God is still at work.
As we continue to trust Him, He strengthens our faith and gives us peace.




Is your heart anxious?
Does life feel a bit chaotic at the moment?
Has fear taken a hold of you?

It seems like there is so much for us to worry about. But did you know that when we worry, it’s as if we’re saying to Jesus that we can’t trust or have faith in Him for the thing we’re worrying about.
