Ruby is the only hearing member of her deaf family. She has so much responsibility to carry as her family (especially her parents) rely on her for so much. But Ruby also has a big (seemingly impossible) dream for her life.

Do you feel burdened by the responsibilities and challenges you might face because of your home situation?
Did you know that despite all that, God has placed dreams and desires in your heart that He wants you to pursue?
It may look IMPOSSIBLE – But with God, ALL things are possible – especially when it comes to His plans and purpose for our lives!

That thing that you’re really good at, God put that in you for a reason. Some things that we’re naturally good at will take some planning and hard work for us to succeed in it. Don’t allow a little sweat and tears to stop you from pursuing that passion God created you with. Keep at it.

We are God’s hands and feet but what does that actually mean?
It means that God has entrusted us to do works He has planned for us to do if we so choose to do them.

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” – Ephesians 2:10 (

Seek God and what His good plans are for your life, use the gifts/talents/words that He has given you to tell people about Jesus! And don’t worry, the Holy Spirit is with you, allow Him to use you for His good works.

She had to hide who she really was in order to save her father from having to fight in battle. But you also realise that she didn’t want to be that girly girl, she wanted to be a warrior. By the end of the movie, after facing a lot, she’s braver, bolder and more courageous than ever.

Some of us go through more challenges in life than others but the purpose of the challenge is the same = GROWTH. God wants us living brave, bold, and courageous lives for Him. He wants us to persevere and push through – all the while relying on Him fully.
