The One.

A lot of people started using #alllivesmatter but the Black Lives Matter movement is not saying that all lives don’t matter.

Matthew 18:12-14 ( Jesus tells us about the shepherd who left the 99 sheep to go after the 1 who had gone astray. Not because the 99 didn’t matter but because the 1 was in trouble. The 99 were safe, he didn’t need to worry about them. In the same way God goes after the one that is lost.

Let’s think about advocacy – it’s the public support of a cause. How can we advocate for those facing the injustice of racial bias?


Social Problems.

Where did it all begin? Why do we experience racism, violence and other social problems? Did seeing the video of George Floyd’s death make you angry? Why did this even happen?

When sin entered the world (Genesis 3:6-12, things like racism came along with it. Racism, violence against women and children, etc. is not from God – it’s the result of the absence of God in our lives.
