Matthew Mole – It’s Simple Child

We live in a world which complicates and confuses truth. Matthew Mole sings “Because I – I believe in such a faith, Strong enough that it will break these, Worldly intentions and make a change”. These are simple lyrics. He believes in a faith which makes change in the world!

Romans 10:9 ( simplifies the core of the Christian faith to declaring Christ as Lord and believing it in your hearts. This morning I urge you to ask God to reveal this truth to your heart. Make this ‘heart belief’ of Christ as Lord the soundtrack of your life.

Many new things might have already happened this year and many new things will definitely happen. You will be in a different grade, a different class, a different teacher, you will probably meet new friends. You may even be going to a new school.

Romans 8:28 says, “…God works for the good…” Whatever new and different things happen, God will work everything for His good and our good. God is so powerful and so clever that He is able to turn everything that happens in our lives and on the earth for His good and our good.

South Africa, like the rest of the world,is broken. Our world is broken, like a shattered mirror. Like a broken bicycle that is trying to move, our country is trying to go forward, but is struggling. We fight each other. We lie to our parents. We pollute the planet.

The good news to focus on, is that, although we live in a broken world and we may have been broken, when we come into relationship with Jesus, we are made NEW in Him.

Spend time thinking about God, the one who makes all things NEW.

It is 2018. Many new things are going to happen this year. One new thing that will happen is that many people will be made new, from the inside.

In 1 Peter 1:3 we are told that, “He has given us new birth.” No person is born a new creation. No person is born a Christian. No person is born saved. We are born dead (spiritually speaking) and we need God to wake us up, to give us new birth. We need to be born again. This year many people will be made new. Have you been born again?
