God, her safe place

Rahab was from Jericho and her reputation was not great. She was a prostitute, a liar, and a Canaanite (long standing enemies of Israel). But she’s the one who helps Joshua and the rest of spies, and in return she bravely asks that she, and her family be saved when the Israelites attack the city where she lives. (Read Joshua 2:9-13,

In Joshua 6:17-25 (, we read that Rahab and her family were indeed saved and lived amongst the Israelites from that day on. Rahab knew the greatness of God, but here she encounters Him as Saviour.

Inside Out

Psalm34:17-18 (
“The righteous cry out, and the lord hears them, He delivers them from all their troubles. The lord is close to the broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit”.

The movie “Inside Out” consists of many different emotions that helps the human react to certain situations e.g. joy, disgust, fear, anger etc. Sadness is not really wanted around, but they discover that in the end, sometimes it’s okay to be sad!

Even in our sad moments, we have hope. Our Saviour is close to us and is so ready to help in healing and comforting us. Allow Him to.

In the Bible we read of Zacchaeus, a tax collector. He seems to have tried finding security for himself in money, yet when he encounters Jesus, he realises that money cannot be his saviour, only Christ can. Jesus came to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10 –

Remember Jesus came to be your saviour (and everybody else’s saviour) and will continually save you from sin.
